Kundalini yoga
Emily Haslam Jones; 07760 886 393
Kundalini is the Zumba of yoga. It gives you a great work out to music, relieves tension and improves mental clarity & focus…this isn’t called the yoga of efficiency for nothing!
Kundalini works on the nervous system & the glands so is a powerful tool for stress management. As there is an aerobic element to kundalini it is a great way to keep fit, the positions are also simple – so anyone can do them. Kundalini yoga simply makes you feel good; here you can tune out of the stress of perfectionism ….there’s no need to worry about whether your foot or arm ‘should’ be, know that your body will find its own way into just the right place with practice, and it is exactly where it should be for today.
Kundalini is powerful because it combines this physical fitness with meditations using clever techniques that can focus even the most distracted mind. The fun combination of traditional mantras, combined with disco, motown, old school tunes and other uplifting music along helps you to experience the incredible stamina you never knew you had.
This is a great practice for improving self-discipline. There are no levels so you can make your own progress. You’ll be amazed after a few weeks at what you can do, you will really start to feel the improvements in your health, strength, mental clarity & your ability to cope with stress. We are all stronger than we know, most of us just don’t put this to the test that often. Experience exercise and meditation in a group like this – and you’ll find the support makes it makes it even easier – “keep up and you’ll be kept up” as founder Yogi Bhajan always said. Kundalini yoga will show you your strength, and make you feel ready to tackle life’s challenges.
Kundalini is a zest for life. Prepare to be surprised – it’s yoga, but not as we know it.

Pregnancy Yoga
Emily; 07760886393; emily@yoganova.co.uk
Pregnancy is a time of great change, and of preparing for great change. It can alter our relationship with our body, our work, and with those close to us in many ways, both positive and challenging. Antenatal yoga is a way for pregnant women to come together, share and relax in a supportive environment. Starting pregnancy yoga in Nottingham, is a great way to meet women going through the same things, and you will find you may well keep in touch with the women you meet once your babies are born.
Practicing yoga whilst pregnant is a powerful way to get in touch with yourself and your changing needs, at a time when you are highly intuitive. It helps prepare you for the challenges ahead, for the rite of passage of birth by providing tools that can build your stamina, tap into your inner strength, and help you find ways to stay calm and centred through the pregnancy and birth process. This time of life can teach us much about ourselves and as we are melded into mothers, we can gain a new and positive relationship of trust with ourselves that can last and serve us for the rest of our years.
Prenatal yoga classes offer not only the right kind of gentle exercise and relaxation women need at this very different place in life, they also offer a space to discuss what your birthing choices are – how to get them happening, and how to let go of them without loosing a sense of self, if the circumstances change. These points are key to feeling happy with the decisions you made in labour post-birth, and will help with the psychological adjustment, as you become a mother.
I am currently expecting my second child, and to be honest with you, I don’t have enjoyable pregnancies of glowing health. I find the nausea, throwing up and gestational diabetes a real challenge, but it is these challenges and how I learned to face them which has been my best teacher, and made me put in place many things that led to a calm healthy, natural birth that I actually enjoyed. I want to share my knowledge with you, on this mothers’ journey. Join us.
